Farce trick illusions, 1970-1978

The photobook comprises a photographic sequences produced by Joaquim Paiva between 1970 and 1978 in Brasilia, Ottawa and Caracas, where the photographer lived and worked. In these recombined works, the author uses the camera to record his performance actions in space, his interventions in the environment and uses its own body as a matter of art, creating a complex artistic expression between verbal language - words and letters that it incorporates into images - and photographic discourse.
