God Inc I & II

In the summer of 1990, Carl De Keyzer bought a camper and traveled through America with one goal: to photograph religious groups. 'God Inc' became a unique (time) document that illustrated how much God is part of the American way of life. Thirty years later, the Magnum Photographer draws again to the American Bible Belt and many other states, but with a renewed focus: how religious groups embrace modern life and the latest technologies in their search for new souls. 'God Inc I & II' bundles both photo series into one reversible book with two covers. In addition, De Keyzer supplemented the first part with never-published photos. 'God Inc' werd een uniek (tijds)document dat in beeld bracht hoe zeer God deel uitmaakt van de American way of life. Dertig jaar later trekt de Magnumfotograaf opnieuw naar de Amerikaanse Bible Belt én een heleboel andere staten, maar met een hernieuwde focus: hoe religieuze groeperingen het moderne leven en de nieuwste technologieën omarmen in hun zoektocht naar nieuwe zieltjes. 'God Inc I & II' bundelt beide fotoreeksen in een omkeerbaar boek met twee covers. Bovendien vulde De Keyzer het eerste deel aan met nooit gepubliceerde foto's.
