Henry and Cleopatra

Enter the abode of Henry Gashia, a rich but nasty nobleman with many, many lands. He is the exact opposite of his lovely wife, Cleopatra, who is kind, caring, and very beautiful. Henry is extremely cruel to all things animate and inanimate, but his wife intends to reform him by sweeping him into a tornado of magical transformations. Cleopatra’s plans hit a snag when Lord Bartholomew, King Edward’s right-hand man and tax collector, starts pressuring Henry to add to the royal treasury. Henry creates schemes to avoid trouble, but it’s hard for him to operate when he’s turned into a hat, a snail, a tiger, a swan and, finally an elephant. Further complications arise from his growing attraction to King Edward’s sister, Princess Anna. How will Henry save his lands? How will King Edward manage his kingdom? How will Bartholomew be stopped? Cleopatra alone holds the key to all the solutions, but even she must circumvent the machinations of the kingdom’s most dangerous denizen, the Royal Tursiops Aduncus.
