Arqueología en el río Santiago, Jalisco

"Este libro constituye un homenaje a Carlos López Cruz, uno de los arqueólogos más destacados del centro INAH-Jalisco. Estudió el Posgrado en la UNAM esperando obtener el grado de Doctor una vez terminado su proyecto; desgraciadamente no lo pudo lograr El proyecto arqueológico en el río Santiago es la única investigación que se ha llevado a cabo hasta el momento en el centro de Jalisco. Reviste una gran importancia ya que los hallazgos crean nuevas hipótesis sobre los movimientos migratorios que llegaron a este lugar después del periodo de las tumbas de tiro. Una de las hipótesis planteadas es la referente al origen del grupo étnico huichol el cual, muy posiblemente, migró desde el suroeste de Estados Unidos"-- This book is a tribute to Carlos López Cruz, one of the most outstanding archaeologists of the INAH-Jalisco center. Unfortunately the archaeological project in the Santiago River is the only investigation that has been carried out so far in the center of Jalisco. It is of great importance since the findings create new hypotheses on the migratory movements in this area after the period of the tombs of firing. One of the hypotheses raised is the one referring to the origin of the ethnic group Huichol which, quite possibly, migrated from the southwest of the United States.
