About
Harpo is a hippy Hippopotamus. Usually one of the most dangerous creatures on earth, Harpo is a softy, he sings, he wears flowers, and he cares about other animals. This book is based on a true story of a hippo who attacked a crocodile that was about to kill a deer. Embellished with several amusing characters, the story lets children into the life of hippopotami; how and when they feed, where they live and who with and the magical acts of kindness that appear unpredictable in the animal kingdom. This book is designed for kindle-fire, PCs, and tablets, with colourful, realistic drawings, hippo songs and a couple of grumbling, elderly hippos who always know best. It is part of the second series of books for boys and girls who like danger. Having tested the first series about Spiky the Saltwater crocodile, on thirty, six year olds who gave me lots of feedback, I hope this book continues to excite reluctant readers and helps all those who are just starting to read and enjoy books.
