Without Words: An Audiovisual Installation in the Former Nazi Concentration Camp KL Stutthof / Bez slow: Audiowizualny projekt na terenie bylego niemieckiego obozu koncentracyjnego Stutthof / Ohne Worte

"We have heard that art after the experience of the Holocaust can never be the same as before. We have heard that after the enormity of suffering experienced by WWII generations there is only one startegy left: to speak no more. Not suspending the truthfulness of these statements, we have suggested that two young artists, Marcin Dymiter and Ludomir Franczak, realize a project in the area of the former concentration camp Stutthof that would establish a dialogue with that horrendous place. Yet the aim of our project was to grant the place the possibility of speaking about itself. From the beginning, we perceived this installation as an attempt at reaching beyond the convention of shaping both reflection and memory in a museum-like way."
