About
This book attempts to record the coins of Karnataka rulers from 300 BC to the reign of Wodeyars of Mysore. The book starts with the description of the earliest coins-the punchmarked coins and covers the coinage of Rashtrakutas, Kadambas, Yadavas of Devagiri, Hoysalas, Vijayanagar Empire, Bahmanis, Adil Shahis, feudatory chiefs, Haidar Ali and Tipu Sultan and the Wodeyars of Mysore. The book has sections for each dynasty. Each section has a brief history of the dynasty and a comment on the coinage. The description of the coins follows thereafter.
