After finding her Grandmother Gabriel’s diary, Jesse follows Gabriel’s footsteps, who years earlier was chosen to replace the aging sorceress, and with the aid of friends, including two haughty dragons, defeat the evil sorcerer and put an end to injustice. As Jesse reads Gabriel’s exploit in the battle of good versus evil, she travels to the gate through which her Grandmother had years ago gone.
