SMEs both in advanced market economies and in transition economies find it harder than larger businesses to find and use the information and advice they need. This handbook is based on a recommendation of the UNECE Meeting of Experts on Best Practice in Business Advisory, Counseling and Information Services, where the delegates agreed that support services that improve the potential for SMEs and trade in services, and effective competition in the international market remains a high priority in the UNECE region.
