About
In this book, Iskra Pavez offers us her perspective on the world and contemporary Chilean society around crucial issues in recent years: childhood, migration and gender. Through chronicles and opinion columns-- some unpublished-- written between 2006 and 2016, the author addresses issues as diverse as corruption, social exclusion, the rights of children and women, discrimination, equality of gender, etc. By presenting her own reflections, Iskra Pavez reminds us that, despite the advances, Chilean society is still in debt to some sectors of the population, such as children, immigrants and women. Although the picture she describes is not always positive, the author shows us that there are solutions and advances. Above all, it invites us to be interested in those fundamental issues in the transformations that society is experiencing, and to think of solutions that come not only from the political class, but from each one of us.
