A crossword is a word puzzle that normally takes the form of a square or a rectangular grid of white and black shaded squares. The goal is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues which lead to the answers. In languages that are written left-to-right, the answer words and phrases are placed in the grid from left to right and from top to bottom. The shaded squares are used to separate the words or phrases. A.N.Prahlada Rao created Most crosswords (regional language)in INDIA. His name has continued in the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS-2016 for his achievement of making highest Crosswords in Indian regional languages. The record is like: AN Prahlada Rao (b July 24, 1953) of Bengaluru has created 30,263 crosswords that have been published in 43 Kannada magazines as of June 30, 2015. His first crossword was published in the Kannada weekly Aragini in 1984. He has seven crossword books to his credit.
