About
BLOOD? is a collection of poems by Danish poet turned art-educator R. Broby-Johansen (1900 ? 1987). It was published in 1922 and would the day after its release sentence Broby to jail due to what was considered profane content. Since, the poems have become legendary for their brutal expression. Here for the first time translated to English by Line-Gry Hørup, who also edited and designed the publication. After ?BLOOD? Broby never wrote poetry again. Instead he published over 90 titles over the next seven decades on every possible theme within the visual arts. As an appendix to the poems are photographs by Johannes Schwartz depicting the archive of Broby.
