First edition (American Imprints 25651) of this long and fairly incomprehensible poem allegedly written by Thomas Paine, the manuscript of which, it is further alleged, was found in a secondhand bookstore in Philadelphia by Samuel Yorke Atlee, who has provided a brief preface, signed “S. Y. A.,” explaining the circumstances of its discovery, all of which is apparently apocryphal. See also A. O.
