Soul's Asylum - Star Weaver

Having escaped the carnage under an ice dome in Antarctica (in Pearson’s Body Holiday trilogy), in Soul's Asylum the fiery telepath Milla Carter seeks the safety of a space facility within the Asteroid Belt with boyfriend Ben Forrester. She is ‘wanted’ by the New York City Police Department as well as relentlessly hunted by some of the most powerful enemies on Earth. Her sister telepaths seek to destroy Milla for the threat she’s become, as the only full spectrum telepath ever known.

Star Weaver begins in the inky shadows of London megacity's crevasse-like streets where a corpse has been discovered by a patrol drone. The dead woman has been garrotted with a cheese wire and scalped, the signature MO of the 'Sioux' - a serial killer who has been prowling the capital for years. The killer is telepath opaque which will make life very difficult for Milla Carter.

The Sioux, however, is just one of her problems. Milla discovers that an unseen force surrounding the solar system is intent on exterminating humanity; she must return to the home planet that wants her dead. There she joins with the telepath sisterhood to fight members of Earth's Senate as they try to cover up the true purpose of the deadly Nimbus Protocol - the alien Swarm is closing in on the outer fringes of civilised space...
