"Chávez" es una penetrante e interesante crónica sobre el Golpe de Estado del 11 de abril de 2002 y los pormenores de esos días, con sus historias íntimas y colectivas.. El autor, consumado periodista , narrador y poeta venezolano, ya fallecido, escudriña esa historia (así como la del Paro Petrolero Terrorista que tanto daño le hizo a Venezuela) sin que la estricta veracidad de los hechos contados quite ese aire novelesco a unos episodios que estremecieron la tierra bolivariana..
El texto, editado en dos ocasiones por el propio autor, está agotado y asombrosamente no ha vuelto a ser reeditado.
