Социально-политические процессы в арабских странах Ближнего Востока

An author of this book is Vladimir Akhmedov(Ahmedov), Russian orientalist, History Doctor who was studied and was posted in Russian missions in the different Arab countries. Now he is a senior researcher in the Moscow based Institute of Oriental Studies of Russian Academy of Sci ens. In his research of academic origin V. Ahmedov examines the nature of power in the Arab countries, perspectives of stability of Midwestern's regimes, the ideology and practice of political Islam, the role of army and security forces in politics, the specificity of the relations in the triangle - regime, army,political Islam- and its implications in politics and society in Arab countries. He investigates the specific character of Arab societies consciousness; Arab nationalism and Islamism in the content of the recent political developments in the Middle East. More than so the author has predicted the possibility of Arabs revolts in Egypt, Libya,Syria and defied the possible behavior of the military and Islamist during this revolutionary movements. He also made some recommendations for Russian policy in the middle east.
