Liar Liar

This anthology contains all kinds of short stories by a bunch of distinguished Philadelphia area writers. Some are mysteries. Some are historical; a few are hysterical. They include science fiction and horror, loneliness and love. But whatever the genre, topic or setting, they share a common theme:

Each story is based on a lie.

In her introduction, NYTimes best-selling author Sandra Brown talks about lying as an essential skill for writers. What we do, she says, is take a lie, build other lies upon it, weave those into other lies until we have a tapestry of lies-- or a story.

This anthology contains tapestries by some great contemporary liars. And its goal, in part, is to raise funds for literacy causes (not a lie).
