Calf; bookplate of Baron de Warenghien, later stamp of R.H. Robbins. Vol. 1 has engraved title page and 12 engraved cuts. Title signed "C. de Mallery sculpsit." Head- and tailpieces, engraved initials. Each volume has a separate title page with engraved vignette representing a boat with the word "Lutetia" [Paris] and distinct pagination. Printed annotations. Text in Greek and Latin on opposing pages; preliminaries, notes and commentary chiefly in Latin.

A paginary reprint of the 1599 edition (see Bib#3585385/Fr#58 in this collection). It includes an attack by Opsopäus (or Opsopoeus) on the authenticity of the Greek Sybilline predictions, and commentaries of Betuleius (Greek) and Castellio (Latin).
