This volume comprises the contributions from 17 authors - historians, art historians and anthropologists - who participated in the Colloquium Mostrar y ocultar en el arte y en los rituales: Perspectivas comparativasʺ (Show and hide in the art and rituals: comparative perspectives) that took place in the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas of the UNAM on the 29 and 30 of May of 2012.
