About
James Lloyd was my great grandfather - my father, Jack Lloyd, Aug 1916 - Aug 2010, had a copy of this book which I read as a child.
It describes with great humour, James' being the owner of Lloyd's circus which toured in England, Wales and Ireland. He was a pompous man of short stature who was father to my grandfather, Hugh Lloyd, who went on to become a violin-playing, tight-rope walker in Sanger's circus, with whom he toured the U.S. in the early 1900's. I cannot recall the book having an illustrated cover but there were some monochrome photos supporting James' humorous accounts. Rob Lloyd lloydrob400@gmail.com
