Nathaniel Colver, son of Nathaniel Colver, was born 10 May, 1794 at Orwell, Vermont. His father being a Baptist minister, the family lived in various locations including Vermont, New York and West Stockbridge, Massachusetts during his youth and early adult years. He married Sally Clark on 27 April 1815. She died at Fort Covington, New York on 27 February 1824. After her death he married Sarah F. Carter, a widow from Plattsburgh, New York. In 1819 Nathaniel became a Baptist minister, as were his father and brother, serving first in the west part of Clarendon, Vermont He later served in Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago and elswhere during his ministerial career which spanned nearly a half a century. Dr. Nathaniel Colver died 25 September 1870 in Chicago, Illinois.
Charles Kendrick Colver was born 22 May 1821 in Clarendon, Vermont, the son of Dr. Nathaniel and Sally Clark Colver. He married Esther B. B. Hill, daughter of Samuel Hill of South Boston. Her life ended prematurely through an illness on 15 September 1855. He married secondly, Susanna Champney Reed on 25 August 1858 in South Abington, Massachusetts. He was then serving as pastor of the High Street Baptist Church of Charlestown, Massachusetts. Rev. Colver pastored churches in Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. He died 28 October 1896 in Chicago, Illinois. His second wife, Susanna, died 12 September 1889 also in Chicago.
Susan Esther Colver was born 15 November 1859 in South Abington (now know as Whitman), Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Charles Kendrick and Susanna Champney Reed Colver. An educator by profession, she worked for thirty years in Chicago, Illinois schools retiring 26 June 1912. "On July 2, 1912, Miss Colver was united in marriage with Mr. Jesse L. Rosenberger of Chicago ... "--P. 291. Susan Esther Colver Rosenberger died 19 November 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. "Her grave is in the northeast corner of the Colver lot, in Oak Woods Cemetery, in Chicago."--P. 381. Jesse Leonard Rosenberger was born 6 January 1860 in Lake City, Minnesota to Jesse and Esther Heim Rosenberger. He persued a career in law and legal publishing.
