Sea Change

Sea Change is a wordless picture book with the protagonist being a young girl (age 10-12 yrs) that discovers pollution all around her during her day playing at the Beach. This makes her sad, and frustrated, seeing all the trash on the beach and decides to make a difference picking up trash while at the beach. She comes up with the idea rather than through the trash away, (leading to increased pressure on landfills) to make a collage in the form of a fish using all the trash she finds on the beach. She then brings her collage to show her classmates The girls artwork inspires her classroom and entire school to do a beach clean up. The message being the importance of protecting our oceans from plastic pollution and that when we all work together we can make a difference and protect the ocean for future generations.
