About
"Weste" is a book made under the editorial care of Pedro Montes and Diego Maquieira. It is a deep dialogue concerning the concept of landscape. Through poems and images (created using a typewriter), the sea, the mountain range, the wild flora, the darkness of the night and the south of Chile are narrated, from the photographic gaze of Domingo Abelli. Photographer Domingo Abelli along with María Hurtado, are the co-creators of the laboratory "Análogo Chile", that offer workshops since 2015 linked to the world of analog & lomographic photography (the social/artistic current championed by a Russian/Chinese analogue camera manufacturer). The book "Weste" (West) was typed in the port city of Caldera, Atacama, Chile in November 2018.
