Tee Vee Humphrey

A story set in the early days of television. Tee Vee Humphrey is a young boy infatuated with television and looking for a way to work in the local TV station. When the station manager sees his enthusiasm, he creates a job for Tee Vee intending to pay the boy out of his own pocket. Over the next few weeks, Tee Vee experiences the highs and lows of what would today be called an internship - making embarrassing mistakes yet learning and eventually making critical contributions to the station's programs including saving a live program from missing guests.
