The short hagio-biography of the unsaintly Saint Jerome is supported by a longer epistola (ff. 11–67), supposedly written by his friend and executor Eusebius of Cremona, which Erasmus showed (and even Baronio agreed) that it in fact dates to the early 14th century. The supplementary epistolae from ps-Saint Augustine and ps-Saint Cyril (on Jerome’s miracles) are likewise spurious.
