Red Sun Over Mexico

Spring 1942Washington, DC. The country is slowly recovering from the shock of Pearl Harbour. Everywhere, everyone is ramping up for the coming conflict. Recruiting centers are flooded on a daily basis as men and women rush to enlist.Sargeant Paul Jarvis, newly married and returned from his last assignment in Panama, has been informed that he and the rest of of CIC has been assigned to California where they will be working with the Office of Naval Intelligence.Intelligence reports that the Japanese are operation in the Gulf of California setting up radio posts and submarine operations with the cooperation of a Mexican faction with strong anti-American leanings. This proves to be of particular interest to Jarvis and his boss, Major Dobson, since it is believed that the the Japanese agent organizing everything is Haito Toshi, the agent behind for the Panama affair and the death of several innocent Americans. Jarvis has been ordered to Mexico with orders to assist the ONI in capturing Toshi...if possible. Problem is, Haito Toshi is an unpaid bill that is overdue.As Jarvis leaves with a young ONI lieutenant for Mexico, he remembers the body of a dead young American woman naked and tied to a bed with a bullet hole in her heart.
