About
The Vegetarian, the 2016 Man Booker International Prize winner, originally published in 2007, is the best known novel written by South Korean writer Han Kang (1970- ). It has been translated in English and adapted for a movie that was also a critical success. Yeong-hye lives an ordinary life with her husband. But nightmares gradually transform her into a vegetarian and lead to an increasingly grotesque chain of events.
