Het Centraal Station in Utrecht is het spoorweghart van Nederland: duizenden reizigers stappen er dagelijks in of uit de trein en zo gaat het al bijna 175 jaar. Vanaf de opening in 1843 heeft het station allerlei gedaanteverwisselingen ondergaan, waarvan de laatste in december 2016 officieel voltooid wordt. Utrecht Centraal is een historisch mozaïek, een boeiende geschiedenis en tegelijkertijd levendige beeldkroniek van een station dat niet meer weg te denken is.
