Choreografie einer Landschaft

For decades the Ruhr region was used as a resource for raw materials. Now the decline of the coal and heavy industry presents to the people the task of developing anew this former man-made landscape as a living environment. With the Choreografie einer Landschaft project, the artists and residents propose to create new experiential aspects. Initially, four out of twelve artists will use their works to complement the newly developed Bergpark Lohberg in Dinslaken and by doing so represent the beginning of a project for improving the quality of life there which will be maintained in the future by the city, artists, and citizens.
