Maya

Set in urban India, Maya is a book about a dream that came true. An illogical witch casts a spell that goes awry and a dream is unleashed. It manifests itself to Maya, a ten-year old Indian girl. Maya is a quiet, introverted, solitary child, full of anxieties. She dreams of a horse, which materializes out of the mist, in the shape of ‘Flower’. The warmth and loving of her unique relationship with the horse, cracks open the restrictive shell that surrounds Maya, allowing for her growth as a self-possessed little person.
