International perspectives on countering school segregation

School segregation is perceived as an unyielding problem worldwide, which is manifest along both ethnic and socio-economic lines. Many countries develop policies to prevent and counter school segregation in order to provide equal opportunities for all children and to contribute to citizenship in multicultural societies. The book presents the state of the art regarding research on socio-ethnic school segregation across the U.S. and a number of European countries, and to share 'good practices'.
