God Bless These Little Legs

Each morning Tyler would sit in his little rocking chair, and I on the floorin front of him with his stiff feet and legs in my hands, as I gently put on his socks. Then we would begin the painful process of getting his legs and feet positioned for the braces. Day after day, as I fastened his braces, I would squeeze his knees together and kiss both of his legs. God Bless those little legs, I would say, and Tyler would flash his sunshine smile and giggle with delight. This became our daily ritual, a game of sorts, to help us both begin our day with the right attitude in spite of the pain. Tyler Sexton was born with Cerebral Palsy.
