About
The ninth grade Teacher Advisor Program (TAP) of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School assists students in making the important and difficult transition from grammar school to high school. Within the supportive context of a small Advisor Group, freshmen begin to perceive the size, cultural diverstiy, and comprehensive offerings of the high school as positive and challenging, rather than negative or frightening. They learn group skills that will help prepare them to participate effectively in classes and extra-curricular activities. They learn interpersonal skillls that will help prepare them to deal with dilemmas that occur in their everyday experiences ina multi-cultural high school, and that will prepare them to assume helping roles with other pers in the total school community.
