"Australian Cinema" begins with the birth of local cinema in 1896 and follows all the major developments and films up to the start of 1993. While concentrating on features, the book also includes major articles on the documentary film in Australia and the exciting work of short-film makers. It contains filmographies of significant directors and detailed credits of more than 150 key films Scott Murray is the writer-director of "Devil in the Flesh" and is a co-founder of "Cinema Papers". He has written extensively on world cinema, and has edited several books on the Australian cinema.
