About
This book, writes the author, is concerned simply and solely with meeting the living God. Faith is an act of the intelligence which requires, in order that we may have confidence in Jesus Christ, guarantees that this confidence is deserved. It is an act of intelligence which tries to understand the message of Jesus, to grasp its coherence and its value. Faith is not a "feeling" which we either have or have not by instinct. Herein is a comprehensive survey of all that is implied by the statement, "I believe in God", in the mouth of a Christian, together with an examination of the evidence of the authenticity of the Christian experience and the relationship between faith and the total personality of the believer.
