The Joan Robinson legacy

Ingrid H. Rima has collected seventeen original essays, never before published, with her own introduction to this anthology. Each contribution focuses on the life and work of Joan Robinson from the perspective of leading Post-Keynesian economists in this country and abroad. The book projects the Robinson persona, which has become something of a legend, and conveys the extraordinary personal impact she had on students and scholars, as well as on the body of economic theory of which she was such an unflagging critic. This book, however, is not an intellectual biography that provides the details of Robinson's long career. Instead, the authors examine Robinson's huge intellectual legacy. Among the authors are Jan A. Kregel, Edward Nell, David Laibman, Omar F. Hamouda, and Marjorie S. Turner.
