A 33-page catalogue of the glass-case display at the British Museum, signed at the end by Antonio Panizzi, who presumably also mounted the exhibition. John Payne Collier, who had a score to settle with Panizzi, anonymously savaged the exhibition itself, the choice of materials, and the descriptions in the catalogue in the Athenaeum of 31 May 1851, pp. 580-581.
