La casa medieval en la península ibérica

The goal of this book is the study of medieval domestic space in the Iberian peninsula, including both al-Andalus and the Christian kingdoms. Far from being homogenous, it provides us with very different architectural responses that force us to abandon or alter many of our preconceived notions about medieval life, both in regards to its architecture and to the groups of people inhabiting it. The articles in this book, offered by a multidisciplinary group of specialists, contribute to an updated view of the topic, while encouraging a critical reflection that should open new paths of investigation. The study discusses three aspects of medieval domestic space: the definition of domestic space, its distribution, and the uses and functions of each residence.
