The Cherokee Trail was name given to two routes taken by Cherokees travelling west from Oklahoma to California in 1849 and 1850. This work identifies locations the trails including campsites. It also identifies the emigrants who pioneered the trails and contains excerpts from extant diaries of those who took the trails. Includes some information about the history of western trails in general.
