About
A day of redemption is coming. Not tomorrow, but it will be here before many realize it. To the multitudes that are unsuspecting, this redemption event will be over almost as rapidly as it comes. For the Day of the Lord will come suddenly-like a flood. As the Bible describes it, the sun turns dark and the moon does not give its light. The stars fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens are shaken. As the darkness shrouds the earth, the sign of the Son of Man appears in the sky. The resplendent light of Jesus' glorious presence shines like the brightest lightening, igniting the heavens above for all to see, as the Lord descends into Earth's atmosphere. Suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, a loud shout erupts, causing a thundering disturbance throughout the heavens, while the voice of the archangel declares, "There will be no more delay!" In succession, and at God's command, the final trumpet-blast sounds, signaling for God's holy angels to gather his Elect from the four corners of the earth. Yet, before the trumpet-blast concludes, the dead-in-Christ are already resurrected and transformed. Those, in-Christ, still living when the Lord appears are also changed into immortal, glorified beings. Together, they are all instantly escorted by the holy angels from the Earth-end of the heavens to the Heaven-end of the heavens. As the flashing light fades in the distance, the people of Earth begin to sigh, relieved that the world didn't just end. Jesus prophesied to his disciples about the cosmic events immediately preceding his return. He afterward said to them, "When you see these things beginning to happen, lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near. It is even at the door!"
