"Der Band bietet eine Neubearbeitung sämtlicher sabäischen Inschriften aus dem Stadtgebiet und der näheren Umgebung der sabäischen Hauptstadt Marib [mit Ausnahme der in sich geschlossenen Korpora des ?Awam-Tempels und der altsabäischen Felsinschriften vom Gabal Balaq]. Er umfasst über 700 Texte und Fragmente aus dem Zeitraum vom frühen 1. Jahrtausend v.Chr. bis in die Mitte des 6. Jh. n.Chr., darunter 120 Widmungsinschriften, 60 juristische Texte und 130 Bauinschriften. Die teils sehr verstreut publizierten Texte werden hier auf dem aktuellen Forschungsstand in einheitlicher Transliteration und komplett neu erarbeiteten Übersetzungen präsentiert und philologisch kommentiert.
