Phases of the moon

These authors attempted to apply the ideas of Yeats' book *A Vision* to modern astrology. The result was a system of 28 phases, each of which is a psychological guide to life as each of us experiences it inwardly. Like all typologies, it must be taken with a grain of salt. Yet it can empower people to cast off limiting self-images in favor of better ones. When the ideas in this book work for us, it feels as though we have awakened from a monotonous dream and suddenly remembered what we really are capable of in life. The phases also afford great insight into historical and cultural figures and their contributions to society. The authors presuppose a prior familiarity with astrology, making this book more difficult to follow for the general public. It was written during the 1970s, a very fertile period for astrology and metaphysics.
