La Toya Ward's compelling story will inspire you to achieve your dreams. La Toya Ward, a single mother of two accomplished daughters, raises them, sends them both out of state to different universities while she goes back to school to achieve her college education. At the age of 36, she goes back to school completing her undergraduate degree by the age of 40. While thinking about attending medical school, she then decides to enter law school at age 42. Through a great deal of trials and obstacles, she completes her law school education, earning her Juris Doctor degree at the age of 48 and then goes onto to sit for one of the most difficult exams in the country, the California Bar Exam. Miraculously, La Toya does all this while maintaining a full-time professional position with the Bay Area Rapid Transit District which she has been employed for 30 years.
