About
When Georgina's path crosses with that of William Philip Carter's horse, her life takes a dramatic and unexpected turn for the better. The affluent and mysterious Mr. Carter placates her anxious mother and takes both of them into his manor house. Unwittingly, he is forced to face dark shadows from his own past. He has rescued Georgina from life with her impoverished family, the result of selfish and weak menfolk: an act which will change his own world forever.
