Apparently a reissue of the Leiden edition of 1684 (Dan. Van Gaesbeeck) to be sold in England, with a new title page giving the London bookseller's name. According to Julia Haig Gaisser, the ‘most important book [i.e., edition of Catullus] of the century.’ It is the first to regard the ‘Salusibuli’ reading (Carmen 17, line 6) as an ‘impostura’, and to dismiss the parallel from Pacuvius as an invention, (wrongly) attributed to Muret.
