This books describes simple techniques to build small steam engines without the use of castings or special tools. Designs are really simple and easy to build . The engines described here are intended to be used for the propulsion of model boats not as models themselves. The boilers described are also simple but apparently effective for their purpose. It also includes a chapter on ship design and cosntruction. Many illustrations, a few of them with dimensions.
