"...an extensive monograph on the House of the Large Triclinium. This rich domus has offered considerable information on the everyday life of the Narbonne elite. Opus sectile pavements as well as painted walls were discovered in nearly all the rooms, beside several marble statues. Not only the plan of the house has been established but, in some cases, the rooms' elevation and several of their openings have been uncovered: doors or windows. The wealthy owner managed to coordinate the decorative program with the various spaces' function, in all parts of his domus, in order to display his social status.
