This is a 'great generation" book aout a man born during World War I, who grew up during the depression, served in World War II, came home and became a teacher, artist, college professor, cowboy/rancher and very successful western artist. It is possibly one of the best books that has been written about this era. However, only 200 copies were printed and all of them sold SHORTLY AFTER they were offered.
