Border Rats

Hispanic father, gringa mother, Spokane´s Cassandra is confused until her mysterious father is kidnapped and she must band with Tijuana´s border rats to save him. Sixteen-year old teenager, Cassandra is visiting her father in California when narcotrafficker Nardo Urtetgui kidnaps him and she is thrust into a battle for survival. Cassandra crosses the border to rescue him when she learns her thrilling romantic interest, Felix Aguilar, leads a double-life of crime and drug dealing in Mexico. Luckily Cassandra has a new friend in Angela Torres, an immigrant who understands the mysterious criminal underworld. The two friends team up in a suspenseful plan to trap and blackmail Nardo. Street-smart, Nardo is not fooled. He snares Cassandra, buries her in an underground drug tunnel with Felix, and takes Angela prisoner. But the adventurous Cassandra has grown up during her struggles with the culture of death. Cassandra and Felix will prevail.
