About
This book is mainly about German immigrants who settled in Renfrew County, Canada, after 1855. There are some family histories however it contains many photgraphs of the buildings, furniture, tools etc. that these people built for every day use. Some of the homes and items described are still in use by descendants. I found it very interesting as it brought back memories of my chilhood seeing similar items in the book that were in use in our home. This county had and may still have, the second largest German population in Canada. This book is recommended for anyone doing genealogy research of the area.
